Server log files

When you access our website, your browser automatically transmits data to our web server for technical reasons. This includes, for instance, the date and time of access, the URL of the website you were referred from, the requested file, the amount of data transferred, the type of browser and its version, the operating system used, and its IP address. This data is stored separately from any other data you enter and is analysed solely for statistical purposes, then deleted. We cannot and do not use it to identify a specific person.

Contract data

If a contractual relationship between you and us is to be established, defined in terms of content, or modified, we collect and process your personal data insofar as it is necessary to fulfil these purposes. We only pass data to third parties or process it outside the European Economic Area (EEA) in compliance with the relevant EU data protection regulations, and we uphold all resulting requirements and measures.

Utilization data

Where necessary, we collect and process personal data to enable you to use our web offer or to charge for any chargeable service. In this context we record attributes to identify the user, the scope in which our offers are used, and when that use began and ended.

Contact form and registration

When you register on our website or submit inquiries using our contact or sign-up forms, we store and process the information you provide so that we can handle your request. Our site uses SSL/TLS encryption to protect the transmission of confidential content.

Newsletter

After you register for our newsletter, a confirmation email is sent to the address you gave (double opt-in). We do this to make sure the owner of the address consents to receiving our newsletter, and we add you to our mailing list only after you confirm. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Cookies

We use cookies to improve the functionality of our website and make it easier to use. You can set your browser to prevent cookies from being stored, although that may restrict some functions. Most of the cookies we use are technical (session) cookies that are automatically deleted when you leave our website; others remain on your device until you delete them, and let us recognise your browser on a return visit.

The information generated about your use of the website is generally transmitted to and stored by Google.

IP addresses are processed in truncated (anonymised) form within the member states of the EU and the EEA; Google does not associate the IP address transmitted by your browser with other data held by Google. Google uses this information on our behalf to evaluate your use of the website, compile reports on website activity, and provide other services relating to website and internet use.

Links to social media

Our website may contain links to social media such as LinkedIn or X (Twitter) in the form of small buttons with logos. When you click such a button you are taken to the provider’s website, and user information may be transferred to the provider. Rights of data subjects

As a data subject you have the right to demand access to and information on the data we have stored about you and its origin; this can be provided electronically on request. You also have the right to demand that we correct, delete or block the data we have stored about you, and the right to data portability.

Where you have given consent (for example to receive newsletters), you can revoke it at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory authority.

Deletion of data

We delete data when it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was stored, in compliance with the applicable retention periods and the rights of data subjects, unless we have legitimate interests in retaining it longer or are required to retain it by statutory regulations.
